the Vacu-Valve®
Platypus and Armadillo,
some of the lowest-cost, lowest-maintenance
dust collector valves available.
The Vacu-Valve operates as
a constant discharge valve
for dust collectors, hoppers,
cyclones and other equipment
operating under negative pressure.
Its unique duckbill design
allows it to dispense free-flowing
material continuously. The
Platypus and Armadillo are
available at a fraction of
the cost of the rotary airlock
valves they typically replace.
The low maintenance valve requires
no lubrication, requires
no power source, and
has no controls. It is ideal
for "keep empty" dust
collection units and is available
in carbon steel or stainless
steel versions. The replaceable
duckbill valve sleeves are
available in neoprene, viton
or white nitrile making the
unit suitable for general use,
high temperature or food grade
applications.
